Went there to look at a used vehicle. Salesman didn’t even get out of his chair to greet me. When he looked it up the car was sold, but was open to looking at other inventory. Didn’t bother though because I’d hate for the salesman to have to get up.

I bought a used 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe in beautiful condition from a local GMC dealership and within the first week had blown a rear strut. When I reached out to the dealership I bought it from, they were not able to work me in to even LOOK at my car for three weeks. So I took the opportunity to start calling around to find a proper Chevrolet dealership. As providence would have it, I was able to be seen same-day at Champion Chevrolet. From the woman who answered the phone in the service department, to Cedrick my service advisor, to the person who ran to Huntsville to get the parts needed, and Bruce who performed the work (and don’t forget Shaw who ran me to the bank!)I received top-notch service. Everyone was friendly and considerate, knowledgeable and honest. It’s hard to know who to trust when it comes to taking care of your car, and I am so grateful to know I have a partner in Champion Chevrolet! More grateful I could not be.

I came to Champion with a need for diagnostic concerning my 2020 GMC Sierra. My appointment was for 8 AM, I was greeted and checked in promptly. I actually was expecting to wait for a long period due to the fact I wasn’t sure what the problem was. By 9:15 am I was informed what the issue was and that a replacement part had been sent for in Louisville . I was told as soon as the part arrived it would be installed and I would be back on the road. I was checked out by noon. This is the second truck I have bought from Champion, when I’m ready to trade for another truck I will be returning to Champion . Good sales and good service mean a lot

I looked at a truck here and I can't say I would recommend them based off my experience, and I won't be looking to them for future purchases either. The truck itself was an older model with high mileage that they got in on a trade. They listed it for sale without inspecting it or even cleaning it. I test drove it and actually really liked the truck. It was my top contender and if they hadn't been shady about it I probably would have bought it. The salesman (John I believe) was dismissive of my questions and pushy. After I test drove the truck I had some concerns. There was a gurgling sound coming from the passenger side (probably coolant) I wanted to make sure there wasn't an issue so I asked about it. He made an awful joke about it probably just being the sound of my stomach. He did assure me that they did a comprehensive inspection of all their vehicles before they sell them and even gave me their three page inspection check list. All my concerns were addressed on it so I felt comfortable still considering the truck. I asked for an out the door price and was shocked to see that the $9,500 jumped to around $12,000. I expected taxes and a doc fee. I was not prepared for a $600 doc fee. It was the highest doc fee I have encountered thus far. With it was also another $600 fee for a security system. I asked for the security fee to be removed and he tried to scare me into keeping it proposing worst case scenarios. It is a 15 year old truck, priced under 10k so the security system would have been absurd. He then tried to pressure me into putting a deposit on the truck, having still not answered any of my questions about the condition. He asked me what I would do if someone else bought it, and even went so far as to claim someone named "Paul" was very interested in it. The fact that it stayed available for sale for about a month after our interaction makes that claim dubious to say the least. I didn't put down a deposit but I did say I wanted to be contacted after it had been inspected. I still really liked the truck, annoying sales tactics aside. But that didn't happen. A couple weeks went by. John checked in a couple times but mostly it was me asking after it. I began to think he didn't even want to sell it to me. He finally got back to me that it had just gotten back from inspection that morning. Was it a three page inspection from their service dept? No, it was a basic 30 point inspection from Big O tires completed 4-5 days prior. That was it and it was all they were doing. So the claims that they inspect every vehicle and won't let it leave their lot until then was a big fat lie. I just told them no thanks at that point. It had been long enough that I had already found some other prospective trucks anyway. It's disappointing though I really liked the truck.

I have an issue with the 2017 GMC Sierra Denali i just bought. I bought the truck because it is super clean and only has 44,000 miles. I had my first oil change after having put almost 5000 miles on the truck. In the 5000 miles i have had the truck I have had to add 5 quarts of oil. I told the service rep this when I was having the truck serviced. He blew me off as this was standard for these motors, 5.3 with AFM. I have drive GM products my entire life (66) and this is not typical of any vehicle reguardless of the mileage. I have now researched this and see that I am not the only one. I am only hoping that the extended warranty that came with the truck and that I purchased covers any problems this creates with the motor in the future. This cannot be good for the motor, but GM turns a blind eye to the problem hoping it goes away. I cannot believe a class action law suit got turned away by a judge saying burning a quart of oil oer 1000 miles is acceptable. Until GM steps up with a solution to this problem, I will most definitely be telling everyone to not buy a GM.

Had an appointment for my 2019 Chevrolet Equinox on Monday 8/21 for a routine transmission flush (for warranty), spark plugs, and to look at a suspension issue. Drop car off as soon as they opened for my appointment. Tony was my advisor. Monday came and went didn’t hear anything, called Tuesday left messages and didn’t hear anything. Finally, on Wednesday got a call that they were just starting to work on it. Completed transmission flush and found issue with suspension (had to order parts for this issue so was planning to take it back on 8/28). Was able to pick up my car on Thursday 8/24. Husband drove it home, it was not shifting right. Took it to Cincinnati on Friday 8/25, started to shift worse. Called the shop immediately. Told them the issues and that we were planning on dropping it off on Monday and asked if they could look at transmission again. We were first told it could take 500 miles to “re-learn”, then told 800 miles, then when I spoke with the service manager said anywhere between 800-1000. Took car back in on 8/28 for suspension and to look at transmission. Again no communication, left several messages and never received calls back. Picked up the car was still having shifting issues told again to give it 1000 miles. Drove to Cincinnati and back 2 times, went to Nashville and back, drove to Cincinnati and back 2 times this week, well over 1000 miles. Called today 9/8 to let them know it was still not shifting right. They said they would look at it but couldn’t get back in until Thursday 9/14, that is unacceptable. Took the car in for routine maintenance, and it is not driving correctly. Have had horrible customer service.

This was such a wonderful experience to have when trading our old vehicle for a newer vehicle. Chris Henson was an exceptionally nice and personable sales rep with whom both I and my husband could relate. He didn't try to push us into anything and worked to get us into what we really wanted! There was no high pressure, no anxiety or dickering back and forth. We left the dealership without buying that evening in order to discuss the financial commitment, change in insurance, and verify the vehicle amenities before making such an expensive investment. Chris at Champion worked to give us the very best value for our trade-in and I have to say, before we got 10 miles down the road, we called Chris back and left a message that we would like to take the vehicle. He called us back promptly that same evening to schedule an appointment to complete the transaction the very next day. When we drove away in our "new" vehicle, I was happy and sad. Happy that such a stressful transaction went so smoothly, and yet sad to say good-bye to our old vehicle, which was my dream pickup truck. Thank you Chris for making this such as pleasurable experience. We love working with a dealership that makes us feel like family!!

Y'all know me...Maroon Buick Encore. They KNOW they sold me a damaged vehicle and did a pretty good job of hiding it. I've had nothing but problems from Christine since I drove it off the lot. Granted, it was used, but they "certified" it - yep, certified junk. Now, another $7k later and a new engine, hopefully it will run for more than a month. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Response to owner response: Why would I bring my vehicle to a dealership for repairs? YOU'RE TOO EXPENSIVE! Of course I didn't. That doesn't mean it didn't have problems. You know you sold me a lemon. No excuse for that.

We had a fantastic experience at Champion. We had been looking at Jeep Gladiators for months. We had a deal worked out with another dealer and they pulled tired old dealer tricks so we left. I saw a Gladiator at Champion we thought we wanted so I made an appointment to see it. We got there and drove it and it wasn’t what we wanted. Billy at Champion knew pretty much what we wanted after talking to us, so while we were test driving the Gladiator, he pulled out a Wrangler Moab that checked ever single box we had except the truck bed. He had it started up, with the top and windows down, ready for us to drive. We drove it and were instantly hooked. From there, Champion was excellent. There was zero pressure. There were zero dealer games. They held it for us with a small deposit, they gave us a respectable amount on our trade (which was a custom F-250 so no dealer was going to give me market) and got me out the door pretty much where I wanted to be. After we signed papers, the battery lost its life and they immediately stepped up and corrected it, which they did not have to do on a used vehicle. Every aspect of our experience was excellent and I will 100% look to them first on my next purchase.

I brought my truck in there starting in February for a misfire that I told Tony in service department that I believed it is the in the transmission. They worked on it and a few days later I picked my truck up. A few weeks later my truck started doing the same thing so I called and made an appointment to bring it back for the same problem. This time they had my truck and wouldn’t even return my phone calls so I could find out what they had decided it was this time. Finally after leaving a message for the manager I received a call and was told what they would be fixing. Waited a few days and nobody had given an update so I called only to never receive a call back again and then when someone finally called me back I was told my truck had been sitting there ready to be picked up which would have been nice if they would’ve called and told me my truck was good to be picked up considering I’d been paying for a rental. We get my truck back and realize a few weeks later that the same problem still exists. So I called back up there to get my truck in for a 3rd time. This time they had me drop my truck off on a Tuesday and didn’t even get to it until the following week after I was told they would look at it when I brought it in . As always no call or updates and can never reach Tony in service. So again l leave a message for a manger to call me then all of a sudden Mr. Tony calls me and informs me that I would need a new transmission and that this would cost me almost $8000. Now here it is July almost August and my warranty has now expired. It expired at the end of March. I was told that they would help with something because if they would’ve have fixed the problem correctly the 1st time I brought it in February or even the 2nd time I brought it back my warranty was still good and would’ve covered it. So when all of this happened the woman Vickie called the owner Fred and looked at all of my paperwork and said yes this is crazy and that Fred would be calling me to work something out on my truck. Well here we are 3wks later with no phone call from the owner Fred or anyone for that matter about what they were going to do to help with a problem they should’ve caught when I brought it in the 1st time and nothing just like always. I’ve only put 24,000 miles on this truck and have receipts on everything that I’ve fixed since I bought it and that’s almost $5000. I’ve never dealt with such a bad experience in my life and don’t see how some people sleep at night screwing people the way they do.

Above and beyond service. Had a combo flat tire and dead battery on a day that was jam packed with high priority work and they squeezed me in after lunch. They got me a warranty battery and the best price I’d found on a new tire in the city of Louisville since it had already been determined it could not be repaired. Those poor guys in the service office are incredibly nice and work so hard. I just wish they weren’t so burdened with stacks and stacks of paperwork. I would have been on my way even faster if not for the paperwork delays. In 2023 there has to be a better way.

I am very thankful for that. However a call saying we have received the parts. We will start work tomorrow. I called twice and left messages to find out status ir charge? Amazing experience! We were pre approved out of state buyers and saw the vehicle online. Todd was responsive, professional and HONEST from the beginning. We flew in to drive the vehicle home. We had a couple of very minor things come up outside of their control but both Todd and Paul worked to make it right! Ms McCombs in the finance office brought it all home with amazing service - again honest and personable. Bought a lot of cars in my life and this was truly the best experience ever! This is not the friendly local dealership they appear to be. A few are actually from area, most are not which is fine. Walked in to buy car for a service member on active duty overseas. Picked car, had salesman send contract to Poland via email which was signed and sent back. I was going up to bring deposit and they sold it to someone else before I got there. They have a right to sell to anyone for sure, but to sell it out from under active duty deployed military on Memorial Day weekend is pretty low. They did not want to do the deal right from start. Not sure if because they had to give $500 military discount, hard to say. And as many flags as they’ll have out this weekend, they didn’t one time ask about his service or inquire about what he was doing from me or him. If you get a good deal buy from here, but don’t expect kindness, localness, or an actual desire to understand your situation. Spoke with 3 different people not one inquired about his service. Marshall Chevy did, I bought from Marshall for more money in Carrollton. ($550 more). I know the deposit rules, but this was telling what kind of people work here. Just beware. Example of how out of touch they were: they sent email to my son in Poland thanking him for coming in and they were happy to meet him. Asked if he could come back in and close deal…….for a car they sold out from under him. Classy.

Tony P, in the service department, was fantastic! I had my 2023 Corvette towed to the dealer at 11 pm on Wednesday night due to a bent and cracked rim. He jumped on it first thing Thursday morning and by Friday morning had me on the road with a new rim and tire. Communication was awesome and he always kept me updated with the status. Kudos to Tony and the team.

My whole experience with Champion has been wonderful, from Todd Waits, my salesman, who was friendly, informative but not pushy to the service department. I had an issue with my SUV shortly after buying, instead of saying sorry about your luck, they got me in quickly and fixed it at no charge to me....... how is that for customer service! Would definitely buy from then again and have already recommended to several friends. They really are all about making their customers happy.

Traveling from Texas to Ohio with my wife and 2 dogs, we got bad diesel and truck wouldn't start in Kentucky. Called our roadside assistance and they were 3 hours away. Called the nearest dealership, Champion Chevrolet and they were able to send a wrecker, pick us up and get us a rental, in a total time of about 45 minutes to an hour. They were able to get our truck fixed in less than 2 days. We were able to continue our journey to Ohio. Thank you Tony for the best customer service I have ever experienced. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
