We have been taking our vehicles to them for years and even ordered a truck from this dealership in 2021 and have never had a bad experience with them. From the sales department, to service and the ladies who answer the calls in customer service. Every interaction has been exceptional. We had an issue with one of our vehicles on Labor Day weekend and were due to travel that Monday, Tony took really good care of us and although we had an appointment scheduled for 4 days out, the vehicle was towed the same day we called the dealership to make an appointment. The very next day we received a call that the vehicle was ready. They didn’t have to service it or even do a diagnostic on it until the day it was scheduled for, but they really do care about their customers and knew we needed the vehicle ASAP and the truck was already there. We appreciate everyone there and are very thankful they have great people working there. We have one other vehicle that has warranty at a different dealership and they have been nothing but a headache, warranty expires soon and we will be switching all of our vehicles to this dealership. Thank you for always getting us in and making sure were all set. You are awesome. Again, thank you TONY for making sure we were taken care of. Update: took our vehicles to be serviced and again, exceptional customer service. Thank you for always taking care of our vehicles!

This is an updated review… my experience with Champion Service was great start to finish. Communication with Tony and the Parts manager was excellent throughout the 3 months they had my vehicle (engine was on back order, not their fault). I was kept updated on the status of the engine and provided a vehicle to drive since this was warranty issue, which was extremely helpful. Staff was very friendly and helpful answering questions anytime I checked on the status of my back ordered engine. Work was done to my satisfaction and my vehicle had even been washed when I picked it up. Just an overall VERY POSITIVE experience. Thank you for all your help!

Called Champions and talked to Tony to set up a date for the Airbag safety Recall . He was very accommodating and set a time that suited my schedule! I called the day before my appointment and asked if I could also get an oil change and tire rotation and was told yes! Once I dropped the vehicle off Tony was again very accommodating and notified me once the work on the vehicle was completed, ahead of time!!! I highly recommend Champions!

Took my 2021 chevy with 40,000 miles in because check engine light came on with code for turbo charger. I made an appointment for Wednesday and they said it would take 6 or 7 days to confirm diagnosis, order parts, and put them in. It ended up taking them a week to even assign a tech to it. Meanwhile im calling every day and the people answering phones seemed very annoyed with me and never knew anything about my car. My service person was tony. He never seemed to be available when i called but he also never offered up information on his own. I always had to leave messages for him and then he would maybe send me a text message back the next day. It ended up taking one week for a tech to even be assigned and then the parts took a week to arrive. I didn't get my car back for two weeks. The repair work was under warranty but i still had to pay over 200$ in ubers to get to work and back during those two weeks. Its extra frustrating because if they had just looked at my car during the scheduled appointment i made, then the parts would have been there in the first week like they had originally told me on the phone when i made the appointment. I understand delays in getting parts or just being busy but this was so inconvenient. I went to this chevy dealership because the others in the area seemed to have an even worse service department. Makes me want to never buy a chevy again because none of the dealerships are friendly unless you are buying and I've had multiple problems covered under warranty with this car that is less than 5 years old.

From the time you walk in til you leave with your car fixed they treat you like family. Friendly, courteous and honest are words that resonate with their service department. Tony and Jay (and the rest of the gang) are professionals of their trade. I give both of these gentlemen the highest marks for friendliness and outstanding service. They know their cars and are able to quickly analyze your vehicle’s needs, provide prompt service then quickly and professionally get you back on the road. I was needing to get in fairly quickly for a service call for my 2018 Impala, and I sent a message via text late at night. The service department returned a call early the next morning and got me in the first available appointment. Don't question why, but I I accidently wrote down an appointment for 8:00 am, instead of 3:00 pm. I got there at 7:45 am, realized my mistake and expected to go home and come back. NO WAY. They went on, took me in line and completed the job before I had a chance to even take a little nap. The repair service was all hyped up and very thorough in every step. I even got a discount. I was so thrilled, as always, and will never take my vehicle any where else other than Champion in LaGrange. I know I can trust them to handle me like a family member and since I have been going there for years, I feel like a little sister. I love the company, so ask for Tony and Jay in the service department.

I had a an issue last Saturday where my keys got locked in my car with it running (no idea how this happens) at Enterprise Rental. I walked up to Champion's Service department and talked to Tony. He went out of his way to have a tech drive down to my car and pop my lock. The tech had my car unlocked in about 5 minutes, resolving a stressful situation. Tony and the guys in the service department have been taking care of me since 2019. I could not recommend this group enough. Even when I'm in a pinch Tony will move some mountain to ensure I am able to be seen within a reasonable time frame. Example: I called Thursday and asked for my truck to be seen on short notice for an oil change and tire sensor concerns. Tony was transparent with me in saying they're not sure they can because they are absolutely booked. I appreciate that honesty and transparency. Also, to be fair, they are always booked and I bet it's because of how well they take care of people. Well Tony made it work for Friday morning and asked me to be at the shop at 8am. Everything was taken care of and I appreciate their flexibility. Any other time I would have been flexible myself and waited till the next week when they were free, but I was going out of town and slipped my mind. Thank you to Tony, service department, and everyone at Champion for your service and dedication to your customers.

The sales department was great, but the service department did a horrible job. The service representative, Tony, lied to me on several occasions about what the warranty would pay for and work that was supposed to be completed and was not. They had my vehicle for two months, replacing the engine and within one day I had to take it back and that’s when they informed me I needed a new transmission. Not sure why they didn’t catch that during the two months they had it, especially since they were supposed to flush the transmission. I even called to confirm that they were going to flush the transmission during the engine work and they said they would. When I picked it up, they said they had not flushed the transmission. he told me the warranty would not cover a certain part of the work which was gonna cost over $1000. I asked him if it would be worth calling The warranty company to confirm and he said no, I would just be wasting my time. I called the warranty company, and they immediately said they would cover the part and said that it would not make sense for them not to. I am not a hard man to please, but very unhappy with my experience at Champion.

Tony Plappert helped my husband and I decide about making a major repair to our vehicle by giving us all the details regarding the issues and what would need to be done to diagnose and fix the problem as well as the preventative things we could do to not have further engine issues. He called the warranty place multiple times for us as well to see if we had any coverage. The engine had to be pulled out and reinstalled to fix our issue. The car was surprisingly repaired in 1 day after the diagnosis and the service was excellent!

Had an appointment for my 2019 Chevrolet Equinox on Monday 8/21 for a routine transmission flush (for warranty), spark plugs, and to look at a suspension issue. Drop car off as soon as they opened for my appointment. Tony was my advisor. Monday came and went didn’t hear anything, called Tuesday left messages and didn’t hear anything. Finally, on Wednesday got a call that they were just starting to work on it. Completed transmission flush and found issue with suspension (had to order parts for this issue so was planning to take it back on 8/28). Was able to pick up my car on Thursday 8/24. Husband drove it home, it was not shifting right. Took it to Cincinnati on Friday 8/25, started to shift worse. Called the shop immediately. Told them the issues and that we were planning on dropping it off on Monday and asked if they could look at transmission again. We were first told it could take 500 miles to “re-learn”, then told 800 miles, then when I spoke with the service manager said anywhere between 800-1000. Took car back in on 8/28 for suspension and to look at transmission. Again no communication, left several messages and never received calls back. Picked up the car was still having shifting issues told again to give it 1000 miles. Drove to Cincinnati and back 2 times, went to Nashville and back, drove to Cincinnati and back 2 times this week, well over 1000 miles. Called today 9/8 to let them know it was still not shifting right. They said they would look at it but couldn’t get back in until Thursday 9/14, that is unacceptable. Took the car in for routine maintenance, and it is not driving correctly. Have had horrible customer service.

I brought my truck in there starting in February for a misfire that I told Tony in service department that I believed it is the in the transmission. They worked on it and a few days later I picked my truck up. A few weeks later my truck started doing the same thing so I called and made an appointment to bring it back for the same problem. This time they had my truck and wouldn’t even return my phone calls so I could find out what they had decided it was this time. Finally after leaving a message for the manager I received a call and was told what they would be fixing. Waited a few days and nobody had given an update so I called only to never receive a call back again and then when someone finally called me back I was told my truck had been sitting there ready to be picked up which would have been nice if they would’ve called and told me my truck was good to be picked up considering I’d been paying for a rental. We get my truck back and realize a few weeks later that the same problem still exists. So I called back up there to get my truck in for a 3rd time. This time they had me drop my truck off on a Tuesday and didn’t even get to it until the following week after I was told they would look at it when I brought it in . As always no call or updates and can never reach Tony in service. So again l leave a message for a manger to call me then all of a sudden Mr. Tony calls me and informs me that I would need a new transmission and that this would cost me almost $8000. Now here it is July almost August and my warranty has now expired. It expired at the end of March. I was told that they would help with something because if they would’ve have fixed the problem correctly the 1st time I brought it in February or even the 2nd time I brought it back my warranty was still good and would’ve covered it. So when all of this happened the woman Vickie called the owner Fred and looked at all of my paperwork and said yes this is crazy and that Fred would be calling me to work something out on my truck. Well here we are 3wks later with no phone call from the owner Fred or anyone for that matter about what they were going to do to help with a problem they should’ve caught when I brought it in the 1st time and nothing just like always. I’ve only put 24,000 miles on this truck and have receipts on everything that I’ve fixed since I bought it and that’s almost $5000. I’ve never dealt with such a bad experience in my life and don’t see how some people sleep at night screwing people the way they do.

Tony P, in the service department, was fantastic! I had my 2023 Corvette towed to the dealer at 11 pm on Wednesday night due to a bent and cracked rim. He jumped on it first thing Thursday morning and by Friday morning had me on the road with a new rim and tire. Communication was awesome and he always kept me updated with the status. Kudos to Tony and the team.

Traveling from Texas to Ohio with my wife and 2 dogs, we got bad diesel and truck wouldn't start in Kentucky. Called our roadside assistance and they were 3 hours away. Called the nearest dealership, Champion Chevrolet and they were able to send a wrecker, pick us up and get us a rental, in a total time of about 45 minutes to an hour. They were able to get our truck fixed in less than 2 days. We were able to continue our journey to Ohio. Thank you Tony for the best customer service I have ever experienced. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
