I had my 2019 Equanox towed to Champion as 2 different tow trucks and drivers couldn't get it to turn over. It seemed the battery was dead. Champion tested it and said it was the battery and it needed replacement. The battery was still under warranty. The parts house wouldn't replace it because there little box said it was now good. So I had to have Champion replace it with a new 4 year warranted battery. I didn't trust the parts house battery tester. I am totally happy with Champions work.

I had a warranty issue with the battery. Mark was incredibly helpful and responsive to my concern. Thank you to the Service team for you excellent work! They provided an accurate timeline for diagnostics. Took me back to my house so I could work and promptly notified me and picked me up once the diagnostics had been completed. I cannot thank them enough for the top tier customer service they provided.

Big thanks to the auto shop for making my 2024 Trax brand new again! They went above and beyond with a wash, inside detailed and even took care of a recall on my car. On top of all that, they met their timeframe of one week to get it done! The parts took FOREVER but not their fault! Also, great communication throughout! This is the 2nd time they have fixed a car for me! Honestly, I hope next time is to buy another car instead of getting one repaired from an accident!

Dropped my car off for a recall. Easy drop off, lot was full, kind of difficult to find a spot, but sign of a lot of business. Got my car back shortly after my 2pm appointment time with no issues, no pressure, and no annoying upsell tactics. Lady went and got my car. I plan on using again depending if they take my CarCare Credit.

Jay, the service representative was the most accommodating rep I’ve ever dealt with at a dealership. I bought my equinox from an out of state GM dealership other than champion and was not happy that that dealership never notified me of recalls on my equinox so consequently I’ve had to be burdened with the expense of two fixes of recalls that had expired shortly before the problems surfaced. My complaints to GM about this have gone unanswered but my experience with Champion was satisfactory.

I came in for an oil change, diesel fuel filter change, and 2 recall items on Saturday morning at 8 am. I learned the block heater recall would take 3 hrs, so I asked for and received a loaner car. Around noon, I called to check on the status and learned the mechanic was having problems programming the computer for one of the recall items and it would not be ready. I came in to pick up a few items out of my truck and learned the mechanic had also discovered an oil pan leak and a glycol leak that would be covered under warranty. I authorized the repairs to be completed. The work was completed on Thursday and I picked the truck up that evening. While I thought the work should have been completed at least one day sooner, I was pleased with the service work and the use of the loaner. No complaints from me, and I would highly recommend (and have recommended) others to shop at Champion of LaGrange. Beery Miller

November 25, 2024: left car at Champion for catalytic converter replacement November 27, 2024: picked up car with new c. c. installed December 9, 2024: left car at Champion for them to determine why the new c. c. did not solve my car’s issue December 13, 2024: car blew up during a test drive which required towing back to Champion December 26, 2024: warranty company approved service records January 20, 2025: Champion finds the problem: a scored cylinder January 27, 2025: warranty company approves a new engine and turbo February 12, 2025: everything assembled, but in testing they determined that the old engine had damaged the catalytic converter February 17, 2025: new catalytic converter is installed February 22, 2025: Fred Tolsdorf, Champion owner, discounted my portion of the bill 50%. Thank you! Present: the car is running great! It took a long time, but all is well. Thank you.

Had antenna replaced under warranty. Diagnosed quickly and the part came in the following day. Made an appointment to get it installed with a few days and I was back on the road in a very short period of time. Jay, the service manager was a pleasure to deal with and very professional. I will definitely use them for my GMC service rather than the other dealership in Louisville.

I paid $169 for a verbal estimate today with no information for the repair, from a code reader. Which I already had gotten before I came. Thought it would be a warranty issue. Turned out to be billable. Won’t ever go back. Mind changed. It was a paper work error me not getting my real estimate. A manager called, apologized and addressed my issue. They did what I expected and I will use them again, they are a solid stand up company.

Bought a brand new 2022 trailblazer from champion and my check engine light came on after 22,000 miles . So it is under warranty so I dropped it off so they could resolve the problem but they DIDNT . they made b.s excuses about too much oil being in the car and other b.s excuses .The problem was turbo related (which oil doesn’t having anything to do with the turbo ) and I did my research and it’s very common with this model/year to have Turbo issue . I wouldn’t recommend this business to anyone because they didn’t want to fix the problem under warranty which is a manufacturer problem and they do not value Good customers . DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CHAMPION CHEVY

I brought my truck in there starting in February for a misfire that I told Tony in service department that I believed it is the in the transmission. They worked on it and a few days later I picked my truck up. A few weeks later my truck started doing the same thing so I called and made an appointment to bring it back for the same problem. This time they had my truck and wouldn’t even return my phone calls so I could find out what they had decided it was this time. Finally after leaving a message for the manager I received a call and was told what they would be fixing. Waited a few days and nobody had given an update so I called only to never receive a call back again and then when someone finally called me back I was told my truck had been sitting there ready to be picked up which would have been nice if they would’ve called and told me my truck was good to be picked up considering I’d been paying for a rental. We get my truck back and realize a few weeks later that the same problem still exists. So I called back up there to get my truck in for a 3rd time. This time they had me drop my truck off on a Tuesday and didn’t even get to it until the following week after I was told they would look at it when I brought it in . As always no call or updates and can never reach Tony in service. So again l leave a message for a manger to call me then all of a sudden Mr. Tony calls me and informs me that I would need a new transmission and that this would cost me almost $8000. Now here it is July almost August and my warranty has now expired. It expired at the end of March. I was told that they would help with something because if they would’ve have fixed the problem correctly the 1st time I brought it in February or even the 2nd time I brought it back my warranty was still good and would’ve covered it. So when all of this happened the woman Vickie called the owner Fred and looked at all of my paperwork and said yes this is crazy and that Fred would be calling me to work something out on my truck. Well here we are 3wks later with no phone call from the owner Fred or anyone for that matter about what they were going to do to help with a problem they should’ve caught when I brought it in the 1st time and nothing just like always. I’ve only put 24,000 miles on this truck and have receipts on everything that I’ve fixed since I bought it and that’s almost $5000. I’ve never dealt with such a bad experience in my life and don’t see how some people sleep at night screwing people the way they do.

This was my first visit to Champion Chevrolet and what a great experience. The service representative was a young lady, I think her name was Laci was so helpful and took time to answer questions about the service I had requested and explained work performed on a recall on my 2015 Equinox. I feel confident the work was done properly and I’ve had no problems. The staff were friendly and one of the salesmen even offered to help me reset the menu on the dash display.

Bought my 2019 Denali new at courtesy GMC in louisville . Had issue with an acid smell in cab almost immediately. Took it in numerous times and they denied it had an issue . Called GM they told me to take to another dealer which I did , champion . Not only did they find the problem, fix it , work with GM to cover cost , they were receptive and professional. The DEF injector had a hole and the DEF fluid was leaking onto my exhaust and into the cab . They ran a test , found an error code , fixed it . Courtesy did nothing but tell me my farm truck was dirty ! U can buy a car from anyone BUT if u want an honest , reputable and responsive dealer , use Champion ( it’s worth the drive ) .

I do NOT recommend this place!! I’d give a 0 if I could! They will tell you what you want to hear to get the sale, make everything sound great - you buy the extra “warranty” that apparently covers EVERYTHING in the truck - all the way down to the radio. This is the 3rd time we’ve taken our NEW truck to LaGrange (which is an hour away from my house) for it “not to be covered” and then try to charge us FOR NOTHING! We could have bought a truck 3 miles from our house - but we decided to come here because they were super nice. We didn’t know that they had your back until they got your money, once they got your money - they don’t even know who you are. If this truck wasn’t almost a year old we would take it back! TERRIBLE service! I KNOW what service is (being a service manager myself) the BBB will be hearing from me! And every social media platform there is! TERRIBLE AND VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I bought a 2017 Fusion from Champion and my salesman was John Richards. He was amazing! I was upside down in my vehicle that I wanted to trade in. He not only got me into a bigger and newer vehicle, he got me to my tight budget. The car I bought had a recall that needed to be done. I have had cars sold out from under me before, even drove two hours for one. To ease my mind John and the dealership let me sign for my car. They went so far as to give me a loaner to drive until my car was finished. I wasn't expecting that. I will definitely purchase from there again!

Went in for a recall on my son's car. The waiting area was very comfortable. Good thing, I knew I'd have to wait for awhile, not being a paying customer. Had a 2 hr wait. Went to office and inquired how much longer, then they brought my car up. There was a miscommunication between the staff.

Worst experience ever. Brought my 2015 Cruze in Thursday at 9am with what I believed to be a water pump issue, went home and waited until 5pm with no return phone call of what was wrong with the vehicle. I called at this time and was told the water pump had to be replaced and would be 3-5 days. I then asked about a loaner vehicle since The Cruze was still under warranty. They replied that the warranty would not cover a loaner. I then, after minutes of searching found my warranty papers and called back ( by this time it was 530pm) , speaking with another individual they told me that a loaner vehicle would be covered under warranty, however they had no loaners on lot. I would have to wait until the morning where they would contact me. Friday morning I received no phone call, I then called at 9am. The individual stated they had been busy and no loaner cars were yet available, he then said he would call enterprise and set me up an appointment, and that I should receive a phone call from Enterprise. I then waited until 1pm, having still not received a phone call, I called Enterprise. They stated that they had me on file and a vehicle in stock, but champion Chevrolet had not faxed the paperwork for payment. I was told they would get ahold of champion Chevrolet to see what was going on. After waiting several more hours of not hearing anything, I called back at 4pm , they then stated they tried calling champion but did not get an answer. This is now where I'm at currently... Still waiting on a rental car while my wife and kids are stuck at the house with no vehicle. I will never be taking another vehicle back to champions. A good dealership would have called after they found that the water pump was on back order and would have had loaner car set up and ready for pick up. By far the worst customer service experience and this ordeal is not over yet. I may get a loaner car by day 3... Only time will tell.

When I first started using Champion about 2 1/2 years ago they were wonderful and I sent many friends their way. I took my car in for service 3 weeks ago and was called the next day and informed my timing chain needed to be replaced and it would cost almost $6000 along with new brakes and a couple other small issues. Needless to say, I did my homework and found there had been a warranty extension on my 2007 GMC Acadia and it was completely covered by GM. I am truly disappointed in Champion for a number of reasons. 1-they should have told me about this warranty extension considering they told us later that they had another the week before they fixed under the same extension. I shouldn't have had to do the research. 2-they have had my car 3 weeks this Thursday and we haven't heard a word from them til my husband went up there last week and they "just got the part in". REALLY? I am sure they are doing other cars ahead of mine since they get paid more for that than warranty work. They told my husband it would be less than a week and here it is going on a week tomorrow and haven't heard from them. Is it to much for an update every now and then? I have completely lost trust in them and neither my husband nor I will be returning with any of our cars in the future.
